Bernadette Reynolds Age 58

I took up karate after seeing Sensei Dee's club, Seishin-Do karate perform a demonstration at a Tai chi charity event which  I attended in the spring of 2017.

I'd taken part in martial arts when I was younger and was inspired to revisit the skills i'd acquired then.

What appealed in particular was that Sensei Dee has a friendly supportive club with people of wide range of ages who made me feel very welcome.

Karate provides a great physical and cardiovascular workout, that complements the yoga and Tai chi which I also participate in.

Likes: Kata forms, Padwork and Basics.

Dislikes: Sparring,  I don't enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger.

I'm a life long learner who is always open to experiencing new challenges.

I would definitely recommend Seishin-Do karate club to people of all ages and abilities.

Come along and give our club a try!!

Sean McDonald  Age 64

When I was 28 years old, whilst playing armature football I suffered a serious Injury to my right leg, breaking bones above and below the knee it took 7 months before I could walk again. The Injury left a lasting damage.

At the age of 49 I became quite over weight (19 stone) and very unfit. Around this time I decided to take my grandson who was 7 at the time to a karate club and Seishin-Do karate club was recommended.

I sat on the sideline for a few weeks watching my grandson, One day sensei Dee fakira asked me if I would like to Join in and see if I liked it. Next lesson I did and here I am 15 years later still participating in learning the art of karate with Seishin-Do karate club. I was guided every step of the way by sensei Dee Fakira and he always came up with ingenious routines to help me overcome any obstacles.

Likes: Being very fit and being 14 stone.

"The club environment is just like being in a family and sensei Dee Fakira is full of encouragement and support"

Its never to late to learn karate, come and Join the club that cares!
